ABOUT JOHN C. PARKER MEMORIAL VFW POST 1054:
John C. Parker was a Merchant Marine and one of the Post's founding members. To honor him as a founder, the Post was named after him upon his death. Post 1054 has relocated at least 3 times but has never left Yokosuka, Japan.

MISSION:
To Honor the Dead by Helping the Living.

MEETINGS:
Meetings are normally the 1st Saturday of the month (check this link to be sure: http://www.yokosukavfw.org/index.php/meeting).
Join us every night at 9pm when we remember: Our departed comrades, those missing In action, and those held prisoner or war. May God bless our National Home.

LOCATION: We are located on the 2nd floor of the Rising Sun, across from the Hotel New Yokosuka, in Yokosuka, Japan.

COMPANY OVERVIEW:
The purpose of this corporation shall be:
Fraternal, Patriotic, Historical and Educational. To preserve and strengthen Comradeship among its members, to assist worthy Comrades, to perpetuate the memory and history of our dead, and to assist their widows and orphans. To maintain true allegiance to the government of the United States of America and fidelity to its constitution and laws, to foster true patriotism, to maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom, and to preserve and defend the United States from all her enemies, whomsoever.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Now located on the 2nd floor of the Rising Sun, across from the Hotel New Yokosuka.

AWARDS:
The Post has received many awards over its lifetime, largely due to the hard work of its Commanders, Post Officer and members.  Award levels have come from National, Department and District levels.
